A Field Guide for the Cautiously Curious
Collated from observation, rumor, and Matrix scraping by Wizkid & Co.
The Great Dragon Vivek rules not through heirs, but through daughters—dozens of them, born from liaisons with mortal women in his human form. All are raised within his Federation’s orbit, but only a few reside in Samarkand. These are the players to watch. Their loyalties, ambitions, and rivalries fuel much of the court’s undercurrent—and if you're working a job in Samarkand, you’ll likely cross paths with one or more.
Below are the key known daughters residing in the city. Most are human, as Vivek seems to prefer it—but not all.
Saphira Vivekzai
The Golden Vizier
Human — Politician, Diplomat, Dangerous Listener
-
Publicly serves as Samarkand’s cultural envoy.
-
Privately trusted by Vivek, which earns her the scorn of her sisters.
-
First seen at the post-concert reception.
Saphira is elegance weaponized. She projects calm, clarity, and cultural refinement—and she is resented for all of it. Lacking magical talent, she poses no existential threat to her father’s power, which ironically makes her more dangerous in the court's political theater. Don’t let her charm fool you: she plays to win, and never shows her full hand.
Kaimana Vivekzai
The Velvet Flame
Human — Patron of Fashion, Occult Biotech, and One Halo
-
Confirmed as Halo’s lover during the tour.
-
Enigmatic and distractible, with mood swings and money to burn.
-
Regularly found flitting between art salons and biotech circles.
Kaimana talks like a mystic, acts like a trust-fund artist, and dresses like a dream. She’s wrapped in layers—fashion, pheromones, spirit contracts—and just when you think you have a read on her, she vanishes for days to "commune with the inner lattice." She's rich, weird, and infatuated with Halo. Just don't mistake obsession for loyalty.
Almira Vivekzai
The Jester With Knives
Human — Chaos Agent, Gossip Magnate, Strategist
-
Charismatic and brilliant, if perpetually under-stimulated.
-
Briefly considered a prank on her sister during the concert... but cancelled.
-
Smart enough to fear her father’s wrath.
Almira’s mind runs three schemes ahead of everyone else. She toys with people like puzzle pieces. The team believed Ruzan was the threat during the concert, but it's likely Almira had designs in motion—abandoned only when Vivek made a rare personal appearance. She won’t challenge him directly, but if you get caught in a prank war between sisters, pray it’s her side you're on.
Ruzan Vivekzai
The Ash-Walker
Human — Mystic, Medium, Lurker of Shadows
-
Claims communion with Timur the Lame.
-
Suspected of planning violence at the concert (never confirmed).
-
Warned off by Vanya through "intense diplomacy" (meaning Vanya threatened to kill her with a blood curse if anything happened).
Ruzan is unsettling. Her presence feels ancient. Her astral signature flickers like dry bone in moonlight. Philip doesn’t trust her. No one should. The team feared she'd attack Halo's event—but it turns out that fear may have been enough. Whether she was planning something or merely observing, Vanya’s talk convinced her to stand down. This time.
Selvetra Vivekzai
The Iron Scale
Human — Mercenary Queen, Commander of the Caspian Guard
-
Leads a private army along the Caspian coast.
-
Rarely speaks, never idles.
-
Appeared briefly at the private concert, in full uniform.
Selvetra is a war machine in a tailored coat. She doesn’t banter, she doesn’t attend balls—she calculates. Her mercenaries, the Iron Scales, are known for discipline and discretion. Rumor says she’s amassing land and influence to declare a breakaway state of her own. No one has dared stop her. Yet.
Nyaneh Vivekzai
The Vanishing Servant
Metatype: Unknown — Possibly PsyOps, Possibly Nobody
-
Appears among Pavilion staff, overhears everything.
-
Might be one person, many, or a constructed persona.
-
No verified identity.
Wizkid can’t confirm she’s real. Reports are inconsistent. One day, a runner talks to her. The next, she’s described completely differently by another. Same name. Same whispers. Might be a shapeshifter, a court intelligence mask, or a collective of proxies playing one role. If she exists, she knows a lot—and says very little.
Arazzi Vivekzai
The Echoed Flame
Ork — Posthumous Technomancer, Matrix Phantom
-
Died in a lab fire. Still very much “alive” in the Matrix.
-
Observed by Wizkid multiple times watching the team.
-
Identifies as Vivek’s "digital vizier."
Arazzi doesn’t have a body anymore. She’s a construct now—Resonant, living code that flickers across Samarkand’s networks. Wiz has seen her in mirrored surfaces, in packet trails, in ghost-pings on secured channels. She doesn’t interfere. Yet. Some suspect Vivek himself played a role in her death. If so, she’s biding her time for something very personal.
Rhema Vivekzai
The Bird Witch of the Steppe
Elf — Cryptic Broadcaster, Animal Mage, Too Clever By Half
-
Keeps awakened birds as familiars, spies, and companions.
-
Operates an untraceable cryptopodcast.
-
Briefly seen at the concert, barely noticed.
Rhema exists somewhere between creepy little sister and fey oracle. She’s harmless, until you realize she’s not. Her birds talk. Her podcast speaks in riddles and disinformation. And if you hear her humming your name, assume you’re already compromised. Not malicious—just unnervingly prescient.
Ayesha Vivekzai
The Warm Knife
Human — Court Liaison, Information Broker, Favorite of the Foreigners
-
Met the team on Day One. Hijacked Philip immediately.
-
Arranged the team’s audience with Vivek.
-
Charm weaponized. Knows exactly who you are.
Ayesha is everything Samarkand wants you to believe it is—welcoming, elegant, and surprisingly pragmatic. But she’s also what Samarkand really is: opportunistic, observant, and four steps ahead. She helped the team—but always on her terms. She's your best friend in the Federation... until you're not useful anymore.
