June 6/7 Addendum
While the team was out at the tent camp under the alien stars, soaking in the strange beauty of the Lost Continent, Dr. Sera Velasquez made a move that flew under everyone’s radar. Sometime during the chaos of the night and the attack by the shadow cats, she took one of the base’s mini-helicopters and headed deep into the unexplored interior of the Continent. Whether it was timed with the attack or simply opportunistic, it’s impossible to say.
In the aftermath, with bodies being counted and Zara prioritizing an immediate return to base, nobody had the time or inclination to go after Velasquez. The newly arrived bioroid soldiers under Colonel Caldron were on high alert, and the base was in full lockdown mode, so it seemed best to let them deal with the rogue scientist if she became an issue. For now, Velasquez’s disappearance was a mystery, shelved alongside all the other unresolved questions the island raised.
The focus remained on securing the Nahual stone and getting everyone safely off the Continent. But somewhere in the back of TB’s mind, the image of #lowkeycutelizard leaving the base in the dead of night lingered, adding another layer of uncertainty to an already complicated situation.
