TB’s Journal – June 7-8

June 7

We arrived late at night, flying westward, but that didn’t stop fans from gathering at the airport, lining the route to the hotel, and congregating outside. In true Indonesian style, the welcome was warm, if slightly chaotic, and even the presence of multiple security teams—uniformed and covert, complete with drones hovering silently overhead—added to the city’s electric atmosphere rather than detracting from it. Security was ever-present but unobtrusive; clearly, someone had orchestrated the balance between a watchful eye and genuine hospitality.

June 8

Everyone felt the strain of the Lost Continent, the sleepless nights, and the long flight, but the tour rolled on, with Halo’s packed schedule waiting as ever. For me, the day had its own highlight: Evie arrived around noon.

The airport scene was one of pristine cleanliness, modernity, and order—quiet but unmistakably monitored, with security agents around every corner and watching from all angles. We didn't get far before the reunion got more passionate—in the back of the hotel self-drive. Somewhere amid the heated rush of conversation and laughter, I popped the question right there in the car. It was spontaneous, humorous, and sweet—the very definition of unplanned perfection. Evie laughed and accepted, sealing them as an official couple. Fuzzy would surely have rolled his eyes, wishing he’d been there to see Philip go down on one knee properly. But for now, we were engaged, thinking ahead to a summer of 2098 wedding.

The day only brought more news: Mr. Harrowfield had been offered a formal position with Skyway Elite—not just as a high-end freelancer but as the head of security. Zara, as always, was the power behind the decision, with Skyway’s board granting its unanimous approval. It was the biggest shift in Philip’s life since leaving the streets, and the implications were heady. Details and logistics would need hashing out, but with Zara at the helm, it was as good as done.

The rest of the day unfolded with time split between Evie, Zara, and Viktor Kolada. Kolada, who called himself Halo’s biggest fan, had been instrumental in securing the Indonesian leg of the tour, with all the heart and ambition he’d poured into it. In the evening, they ventured out into the vibrant Indonesian streets, a whirlwind experience of sights, sounds, and energy. Indonesia’s motto still resonated, even in 2097: Bhinneka Tunggal Ika—Unity in Diversity. Halo took it all in, connecting with the spirit of the people and their unique brand of unity, the night a perfect preparation for the upcoming concert.
